Safety Through Knowledge and Hands-On Training 🚜🦺

Last Friday and Saturday, we focused on workplace safety and the safe operation of industrial trucks.
We held an in-house forklift training session at our facility, followed by an exam administered by a BG-certified examiner.

On the first day of training, participants learned the theoretical fundamentals—ranging from legal and regulatory requirements to accident prevention and the design and operation of industrial trucks.

Topics covered in particular detail included, among others:
🔹 Stability and center of gravity
🔹 Load center diagrams and lift heights
🔹 Mast angles
🔹 Driving with and without a load
🔹 Starting, cornering, braking, and turning
🔹 Handling on sloped surfaces
🔹 Proper behavior in hazardous situations

On the second day, the focus shifted to practical application. Using multiple stacks of pallets and an obstacle course, participants received intensive training in load pickup, load unloading, and safe driving with and without a load.
Afterward, they also practiced handling our high-speed forklifts.
🎯 The result: All participants successfully passed the exam!

For us, regular training is more than just a formal requirement. Working safely means taking responsibility—for our own employees, for colleagues, and for safe operations.

A big thank you to all participants for their dedication and to the examiner for conducting the training in a practical and professional manner.

Last Saturday, we celebrated our summer wedding party together at the alpine pasture in Schiffweiler. With perfect weather, delicious food, and a great atmosphere, we were able to enjoy the day together and catch up outside of our everyday work routine.
